This Site Health and Safety Audit checklist helps principal contractors and subcontractors assess compliance on active construction sites. It covers CDM roles and responsibilities, welfare facilities, inductions and toolbox talks, and required documentation such as policies, insurances, F10, and construction phase plans. Audit sections include RAMS, permits to work, hazardous substances and COSHH, plant and equipment checks, temporary works, PPE, housekeeping and storage, vehicles and vans, and detailed controls for work at height including MEWPs, ladders, scaffolding, and safety nets. It also verifies lifting plans and accessories, controls for noise, dust, vibration, welding, and respiratory protection, asbestos surveys and training, incident and improvement logging, and a final summary with site status and sign off.
