Use this safety walk checklist to guide management walkarounds and improve workplace safety. Assess general housekeeping, walkways, work surfaces, guarding, and material storage. Verify PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, respiratory and hearing protection, gloves, and footwear. Review fall protection gear and anchorage points, ladder condition and setup, and the suitability and maintenance of tools and equipment. Evaluate excavations, barriers, and access or egress, and check electrical safety including GFCIs, cords, and power tools. Observe crew behavior, communication, and lifting technique. Engage a team member to confirm toolbox talks, emergency procedures, and hazard awareness, then record corrective actions and sign off.
