Horizontal Boring Safety Inspection Checklist
by Wes Hellrich, from the Community
This horizontal boring safety inspection checklist helps field teams verify safe setup and operations on drilling sites. Review PPE compliance, equipment condition, first aid and fire equipment, GFCI use, and extension cord hazards. Confirm underground utilities are located, bore rig and vac truck are safely positioned, controls function, and no fluid leaks are present. Check Strike Alert sensor deployment, traffic cones or barricades, water and shade availability, certification cards, and site housekeeping. Capture signatures to document the inspection.
