This construction site checklist focuses on excavation and lifting operations. It helps teams verify permits and RAMS sign-on, confirm LOLER certification and weekly inspections, and ensure COSHH assessments and first aid are in place. Use this construction checklist to verify permits and RAMS sign-ons, COSHH assessments, temporary works designs, and site controls before excavation and lifting tasks. Check excavation tags and support, edge protection, access and egress, ladder tie-off, and davit arm readiness. Confirm PPE compliance, operative competency, HAVS records, and first aid availability. Record weekly LOLER inspections and in-date certificates for lifting equipment, and ensure correct storage. Complete plant and vehicle check sheets, spill kit readiness, and plant nappies or drip trays. Maintain tidy work areas and manage plant–person interfaces with exclusion zones where required.
