Pre-Task Elevated Work Checklist for Perimeter Walls
by Aaron Martin, from the Community
This pre-task checklist helps crews plan elevated perimeter wall work for shotcrete and pour in place activities. It guides supervisors to confirm waterproofing and mirror drain status, dowel protection, and that all holes are covered and secured. It prompts checks on ladders, scaffolds, and man lifts for regulatory compliance, coordination with the general contractor and formwork foreman, and a walkthrough of the work area before access or preloading rebar. The form covers rescue planning, vertical work bracing plans, engineered tie-off points, and the need for a site-specific fall protection plan. It includes harness and lanyard inspections and lifeline or horizontal retractable line requirements rated for one or two persons. Use this form for each pour area to document approvals and adjustments made by the foreman and safety team.
