Pneumatic Air Hoses and Couplings Checklist
by Jonathan McDonagh, from the Community
Use this checklist to assess the condition and correct fitting of pneumatic air hoses and couplings on site. Verify whip checks, safety pins, and rubber seals are installed and defect free. Confirm there are no sharp edges on fittings and that auxiliary equipment such as blowpipes or scabblers is fit for purpose. Check that the risk assessment and method statement reflects the task, access and egress are clear, and task interference barriers and warning signs are in place. Ensure PPE requirements are specified and worn, and that personnel are competent in the use of pressurised air equipment.
