This Residential Rough-in Checklist helps construction and electrical teams prepare and verify key pre-wire tasks during the residential build. Use it to confirm plans and cabinet elevations, mark out floors and island benches, determine sub-board, patch panel, and manhole locations, and install brackets and noggins. Verify dedicated circuits, GPOs and power feeds, lighting ANEs and switch actives, LED and multi-way wiring, pendants, ceiling fans, and exhaust ducting. Check range hood ducting, smoke alarms, data and TV points, antenna placement, intercom cabling, labeling, and documentation. Capture wet area photos and maintain a clean, safe site.
