Use this Task Risk Assessment (TRA) Initial Review checklist to verify a subcontractor’s TRA before work starts. Confirm job steps and sequence, identify major hazards, assess uncontrolled risk levels, and ensure controls align with legislation, standards, and site conditions. Cross-check the Activity Method Statement, nominate specific controls following the hierarchy, and verify required PPE, training, plant and tools. Address work at heights, mobile plant, hazardous chemicals, access and egress, and designated responsible persons. Capture approvals and sign-offs so works can proceed safely and in compliance with WHS.
