This crane inspection checklist helps technicians evaluate overhead, jib, and monorail cranes. Record site details, crane ID, capacity, manufacturer, and classification. Assess structure, runway, end carriages, bridge girders, buffers, and signage using condition ratings. Verify electrical and safety systems including emergency stop, isolators, festoon or busbar, overload and travel limits, anti-collision, VSD, earthing, cabling, enclosures, and lift monitoring. Inspect hoists, trolleys, cross and long travel components: motors, brakes, gearboxes, couplings, sheaves, wire rope or chain, rope guides, sprockets, and hook blocks. Capture findings, recommendations, and sign-off.
