MCWP and Hoist Thorough Examination and Service

Use this checklist to document the annual service of mast climbing work platforms and hoists. Capture key asset details including location, serial number, year of manufacture, safe working load, and test load. Verify guards and covers, mechanical components such as brakes, gearbox oil, drive pinion, rollers, emergency brake, manual descent, and leveling bar. Check electrical integrity including wiring, micro switches, rectifier, proximity switches, and multi-core cables. Inspect structural elements like welds, chassis, floor deck, bottom mast, jack legs, and outriggers. Record inspector name and inspection date to provide proof of maintenance before installing the drive unit on a new project.
