Safety Manager Daily and Weekly Observations
by John Cornelius, from the Community
This construction safety observation checklist helps safety managers document daily and weekly site conditions. Record contractors, locations, safety items observed, and compliance with PPE, fall protection, ladder and scaffold use, housekeeping, electrical, hot work, excavations, cranes, and heavy equipment. Capture issues, photos, corrective actions, responsible persons, and follow up dates. Verify permits, inspections, JHA, tool lists, and emergency readiness including first aid, fire extinguishers, and postings. Use it to stop unsafe work, track citations, and ensure OSHA aligned practices across crews and subcontractors.
