Machinery and Plant Pre-Start Checklist
by Christopher Taylor, from the Community
Use this machinery and plant pre-start checklist to ensure diesel generators and related equipment are safe and ready for use. Record site details and equipment serials, then perform before-start checks on fluids, filters, belts, battery, guards, exhaust and isolation switch. After start, verify gauges, listen for abnormal noise or vibration, check for leaks, test the emergency stop and cooling system. Log defects, conduct electrical tests, capture recommendations, and complete engineer and supervisor digital sign-offs for compliance and traceability.
