Lifting Equipment Daily and Weekly Checklist
by Werner De Klerk, from the Community
Conduct daily and weekly inspections of lifting equipment to improve safety and compliance. This checklist guides inspectors through visual and functional checks such as condition of rails and rungs, integrity of spreaders and locks, presence of labels and ratings, cleanliness and freedom from oil or grease, and the state of non slip bases and feet. Record site details, project numbers, serial numbers, and the week commencing dates. Capture the inspector name and signature, note defects, and tag damaged equipment to remove it from service.
