SIDERISE RH and RV Cavity Barriers Installation
by Alex Dobra, from the Community
This checklist supports site supervisors installing SIDERISE RH and RV cavity fire barriers. It covers vertical barriers cut to void size with compression allowance, correct cut direction, bracket placement and spacing, pressing onto brackets, and sealing all joints with RFT 120/45 foil tape. Horizontal barriers include width selection for the void, fixing to the substrate with specified bracket spacing and orientation, trimming and folding bracket ends, ensuring mitred corners with continuous intumescent, and tight abutments with sealed joints. For doors and windows, extend verticals beyond openings and set horizontals above and below, tightly abutted and sealed. Finish with clean work areas and sign-off by contractor and client.
