This hot work checklist helps teams prepare and control works like welding, cutting, and brazing. It covers site readiness within a 15 meter radius, removal or shielding of combustibles, covering drains, running and checking fire hoses, proper earthing of welding machines, safe placement of gas cylinders, and lead management. It includes checks for coatings that may release toxic vapors, adequate ventilation, fire-resistant shields, identified alarm points, and assigning a trained fire watch during work and for at least 30 minutes after. A section supports setting up permanent hot work zones with non-combustible construction, restricted access, signage, accessible extinguishers, mechanical ventilation, secured gas storage, and clear evacuation routes. Procedures emphasize competency, authorization, and daily prestart checks.
