Swimming Pool Fence Site Inspection Checklist
by Harry Singh, from the Community
This swimming pool fence site inspection checklist helps Queensland councils and pool safety inspectors assess barrier compliance against AS1926.1, the Building Act 1975 and QDC MP 3.4. It guides checks on permanent or temporary barriers, materials and structural integrity, gate self-closing and latching, minimum heights, gaps and footholds, non-climbable zones, intersecting fences, doors, windows and balconies, required resuscitation signage, and waterways used as barriers. Document findings, attach approvals or certificates, note non-conformities, and capture outcomes to support regulatory notices and certification.
