ETU Temporary Construction Wiring Checklist
by Wendel Moloney, from the Community
This ETU checklist helps teams inspect temporary construction wiring for safety and compliance. It covers cabling identification and protection, separation from services, support and routing, and safeguards around scaffolding and metallic roofs. Switchboard checks include RCD protection, accessibility, labeling, enclosure integrity, correct breaker sizing, and up to date testing. Lighting requirements address lux levels, lamp protection, and emergency lighting. Leads must be tested, tagged, and mechanically protected. The checklist also prompts verification of documentation, LV rescue kit testing, and compliance with AS 3012 and AS 3000.
