Use this chiller pre functionality checklist to guide pre startup and commissioning of HVAC chillers. Record key equipment details and verify documentation such as manufacturers cut sheets, performance data, installation and startup plan, OM manuals, factory test results, control sequences, and warranty. Inspect general condition, vibration isolators, seismic restraints, oil filter, and leaks. Confirm piping is independently supported, labeled with type and flow, and fitted with isolation and balancing valves and required specialties. Check electrical and control items including disconnects, tight connections, safeties, starters, control devices, and interlocks. Validate sensors and gauges for temperature, pressure, and flow, and ensure BAS readouts match panel instruments. Includes links to associated checklists for condenser and chilled water pumps, BAS, condenser and chilled water piping, and cooling towers. Useful for contractors, commissioning teams, and LEED CxA workflows.
