by Zoran Bogunovic, from the Community
This CFMEU Victoria Civil scaffold inspection checklist helps crews and supervisors assess scaffold safety and compliance on civil construction sites. It covers high risk work licensing, pre use inspections and 30 day re inspections, component compatibility, firm and level foundations, plant and maintenance registers, on site records, perimeter screening and encapsulation needs, safe access and egress, ladder and stair tread condition, closing off incomplete scaffold with signage, hard barricades to protect bases from moving plant, regular checks of sole boards especially after weather events, tie placement and spacing in line with scaffold plans, and adherence to AS NZS 1576 and related guidelines. Use it to streamline audits, improve documentation, and reduce risk across active worksites.
