Capture contract details, inspection date, and responsible persons, then assess supervision and competency, traffic management, fire safety, welfare facilities, inductions and toolbox talks, training records and permits to work. Verify that risk assessments and method statements are in place, COSHH controls are implemented, and physical agents such as dust, noise, and vibration are assessed. Check environmental controls for fuel and chemical storage, spill response, waste segregation, and protection of ecology. Confirm PPE usage and availability, working at height controls, scaffolding standards, and access equipment safety including MEWPs, lifting gear, and power tools with PAT records. Review housekeeping, access and egress, illumination, service protection, and structural stability. Record incidents, near misses, and actions, and add additional comments with item references to track corrective measures.
