This toolbox talk provides guidance for safe drilling and ground powered equipment operations. It highlights hazards such as respirable crystalline silica, dermatitis, and other health risks, and outlines planning steps to reduce hole counts or use direct fastening. It covers controlled access to work areas, correct drill and bit selection, and dust control via on-tool extraction (M or H class units, hoods, correct hoses, and waste bags) for one-off, short-duration, and main-activity drilling. It details safe work practices, utility awareness, and rotation of workers. Respiratory protection requirements include APF 20 RPE, fit testing, clean-shaven policy, filter changes, and powered respirators for extended use. Additional sections cover PPE care, personal decontamination and skin care, maintenance and LEV checks, and daily cleaning with M or H class vacuums or wet methods. An attendee register is included to confirm understanding.
