Work Near Overhead Utilities Safety Checklist (RMS H11)
by Steve Clark, from the Community
Use this RMS H11 surveillance checklist to manage work near overhead utilities and power lines. Confirm alternative methods to avoid no go zones, consult the network operator, obtain and plot utility plans, and brief supervisors and contractors. Verify worker training, safe work method statements, line sag and sway allowances, and minimum approach distances by voltage. If working within approach distances, assign a spotter and ensure Crane and Plant Electrical Safety training. Record notifications and compliance outcomes.
