RMS H8B Post-Tensioning Surveillance Checklist
by Steve Clark, from the Community
Use this RMS H8B post-tensioning surveillance checklist to guide quality and safety checks during bridge and concrete works. It covers inspection of anchorage components and surrounding concrete, verification of jack condition and current calibration certificates, and safe stressing procedures aligned with approved design and load and extension requirements. The checklist prompts setup of barriers, signage, and clearances at live ends, monitoring of concrete pours and anti-burst steel, handling and storage of strand coils, and supervision of couplers and dead ends by competent personnel. It also includes confirmation of transfer strength records, housekeeping and waste control, and documentation of nonconformances and follow-up actions.
