Weekly Climbing and Groundsaw Checklist
by Kymberley Havard, from the Community
This weekly checklist supports arborist and landscaping teams in inspecting climbing and groundsaw equipment. Record make and model and saw ID, then verify key safety items including guide bar cover for transport, exhaust direction, chain brake and front hand guard, safety symbols, on/off switch, throttle trigger lockout, rear chain breakage guard, anti‑vibration mounts, chain catcher, and low‑kickback chain. Capture weekly sign‑offs and a manager’s signature, note defects, and ensure issues are reported to the appropriate line manager. Ideal for routine chainsaw safety compliance in horticulture and grounds maintenance.
