This CRGNSA Hazard Tree Survey checklist helps forestry and park teams assess tree hazards across trailheads, campgrounds, and recreation sites in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Capture site details, weather, and site conditions; document species, DBH, and height; and identify targets such as tent pads, parking lots, restrooms, kiosks, and buildings. Record observed damage, note other hazards, add photos, sketch locations, and calculate damage potential and overall hazard ratings to prioritize mitigation. Designed as an example template to support consistent inspections and safer public recreation areas.
