Ensure safe tree felling with this chainsaw safety checklist. Verify stable wind conditions, wear required PPE including helmet with visor and earmuffs, gloves, chaps, eye protection, and safety boots. Confirm chain brake operation, chain sharpness and tension, and that oil, fuel, and bar tool are ready. Acknowledge CSA chainsaw training, zero alcohol or impairing substances, maximum felling diameter of 14 inches, and leaving winch-sturdy trees every 25 meters. Work with a spotter equipped with a radio, first aid kit, tourniquet, ERP, and EMS location sheet before starting.
