Terms and Conditions – SafetyCulture AO Event Competition

1. General

  1. By submitting an entry, the Entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Promoter

The promoter is SafetyCulture Pty Ltd (ABN 16 089 180 049) of Level 8, 210 George Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000 ( SafetyCulture ).

3. Eligibility and Entry Conditions

  1. Entry into this competition is free and open to attendees of the following events ( Entrant ): NoVacancy Sydney (held on 18-19 September 2024), and the Workplace Safety Expo (held on 23-24 October 2024) (each an Event ). Entrants must be over the age of eighteen.

  2. Only one entry is allowed per Entrant. Entrants may not enter the competition multiple times.

  3. To submit an entry into this competition Entrants must:

    1. visit the SafetyCulture exhibit at the relevant Event; and

    2. have their individual Event badge scanned, and personal details collected, by a SafetyCulture representative at the relevant Event.

  4. SafetyCulture may disqualify, or refuse to award a prize to, any Entrant that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this competition or provides false or misleading response/s or has otherwise engaged in any unlawful or improper conduct in connection with this competition.

  5. Any costs associated with accessing the website/application are the Entrant’s responsibility and are dependent on the internet service provider used. All costs incurred by the prize winner must be borne by the prize winner, including flights, accommodation, meals and insurance, unless these costs are specified in the prize description provided.

  6. Employees of SafetyCulture and its related companies, agencies associated with this competition, and representatives of other exhibitors or sponsors of an Event are not eligible to participate in this draw or win a prize.

4. Judging and Notification

  1. There will be one (1) winner selected at random from eligible Entrants.

  2. The winner will be selected at random on 31 October 2024.

  3. The prize winner will be notified by email. The prize winner may also be contacted by phone, where a phone number has been provided. With SafetyCulture’s written consent, the prize winner may transfer the prize to an individual employed by the same organisation as the Entrant. If the prize winner has not claimed their prize, or otherwise transferred the prize as stated in these Terms and Conditions, by 30 November 2024, the prize will be forfeited, and another draw held to determine a new prize winner.

  4. The total prize value for the competition is AUD$600.00.

  5. SafetyCulture’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into, unless required by law.

5. Prize

  1. The winner will win:

    1. a three (3) course dining experience at The Bistro by Rockpool at the Australian Open; and

    2. a seat in Rod Laver Arena following the dining experience to attend a match at the Australian Open.

The Prize is hosted by SafetyCulture. SafetyCulture representatives will attend the dining experience and match with the prize winner. The winner will have the option to choose between two available dates for the prize. Available dates to be advised by SafetyCulture after selection of the winner. The Australian Open is hosted in Melbourne between 19 and 26 January 2025.

  1. Unless otherwise specified, all prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable and non-redeemable for cash. Prizes must be taken as offered and no modifications or exchanges will be possible.

  2. SafetyCulture reserves the right to vary the prize and/or these Terms and Conditions from time to time and will use its reasonable endeavours to notify you of any changes.

6. Publicity

The winner grants to SafetyCulture, its related bodies corporate, and other persons acting on SafetyCulture’s behalf, an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use and publish the Entrant’s name, likeness and other information (including photographs and quotes of the Entrant) in any media worldwide (including SafetyCulture’s social media, website and marketing materials) for the purpose of promoting SafetyCulture, its services, the event, the draw or future events.

7. Liability

SafetyCulture is not liable for any loss, expense, damage or liability suffered or incurred by Entrants (including the winner) in connection with this competition.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
